VenueObli

When you walk into a venue, whether it be a live music arena, pub or club, the venue operators have a duty of care to protect you from harm.  The information below relates to venue obligations in terms of protecting you from harmful noise.

For Staff

Your employer has an obligation, by law, to protect you from exposure to harmful noise.
Read your rights at the Bar Staff section.

If you would like more information about your rights at work, or think you are being subjected to loud noise at work without proper protection, call the Workplace Health & Safety Qld Infoline on 1300 369 915.

For Patrons

The same laws that exist to protect staff are also there to protect patrons in a venue.  If you feel that the music was too loud in a venue you can also ring the Workplace Health & Safety Qld Infoline on 1300 369 915.
